Agile Product Owner

Job Summary

To provide strategic product leadership for a high-visibility Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) modernization program, the full-time Agile Product Owner will manage product vision, backlog strategy, release planning, and delivery outcomes while collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Define product vision, delivery strategy, and backlog priorities aligned with FAA business objectives and contractual requirements
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex enterprise software capabilities while exercising independent decision-making authority over product direction and release scope
• Communicate with executive leadership and stakeholders regarding delivery strategy, product priorities, and program risks to ensure successful program execution

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
• Extensive experience in product leadership roles supporting complex enterprise software development efforts
• Demonstrated ability to lead product strategy and make complex decisions affecting operational readiness and customer satisfaction
• Experience influencing cross-functional teams without direct supervisory authority
• Advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban, as well as experience with Agile lifecycle management tools like Jira or Confluence
