Job Summary
A company is looking for an Appeals Clerk to provide administrative support for the Eligibility Appeals Operations Support Project.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accounting records, reconcile accounts, and issue informal resolutions based on appeal case reviews
- Contact appellants for information, clarify questions, and explain results of informal resolutions
- Schedule hearings for appellants, track available timeslots, and issue notices confirming scheduled hearings
Required Qualifications and Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
- At least two years of related experience required; more than two years in healthcare or appeals preferred
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, or Access
- Ability to type 35 words per minute accurately
- Experience with internet connectivity requirements for remote work
