Job Summary

A company is looking for an Appeals Clerk to provide administrative support for the Eligibility Appeals Operations Support Project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accounting records, reconcile accounts, and issue informal resolutions based on appeal case reviews
  • Contact appellants for information, clarify questions, and explain results of informal resolutions
  • Schedule hearings for appellants, track available timeslots, and issue notices confirming scheduled hearings

Required Qualifications and Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
  • At least two years of related experience required; more than two years in healthcare or appeals preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, or Access
  • Ability to type 35 words per minute accurately
  • Experience with internet connectivity requirements for remote work
