Job Summary
A company is looking for an Assistant Underwriter.
Key Responsibilities
- Service the Expanded Markets book of business under the supervision of underwriters
- Manage incoming communications from agents and assist with policy processing tasks
- Mentor and train personnel on Expanded Markets processes as needed
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent minimum
- A minimum of 2 years general insurance experience
- Ability to understand and analyze components of insurance policies
- Proficiency in using company automation tools, including Windows, Word, and Excel
- Interest in continued education and professional development for full underwriting authority
