Associate Underwriter - Workers Compensation

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate Underwriter - Workers' Compensation to evaluate and price new business and renewal applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine selection, evaluation, and pricing of assigned risks for commercial insurance policies
• Process endorsements, cancellations, and reissues of policies while ensuring compliance with guidelines
• Field agency service requests and maintain accurate servicing of accounts

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Two years of experience in a professional business or insurance environment preferred
• Previous commercial lines underwriting experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of state-specific underwriting laws and principles
• Proficiency in Excel
