Authorization Specialist - WI & MI

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Authorization Specialist (Remote - WI & MI residents only).

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage
• Secure third-party payer authorization for services
• Assist in patient-facing responsibilities within a medical business office

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Minimum of two years' experience in a medical business office or healthcare setting
• Preferred completion of post-secondary courses in Medical Terminology, CPT Coding, and Anatomy & Physiology
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator, or Health Care Business Service program is preferred
• No specific certifications or licenses required
• Education must be from an accredited institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation
