Azure Purview Data Catalog Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Azure Purview Data Catalog Engineer to manage and optimize data cataloging and governance solutions using Microsoft Azure Purview.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and maintain Azure Purview for comprehensive data cataloging and governance
• Develop and manage metadata, data lineage, and classification policies to ensure data integrity and discoverability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define standards, and design effective data catalog solutions

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or related fields
• Proficiency in Azure Purview, including implementation and optimization
• Strong understanding of metadata concepts, data lineage, and classification
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (e.g., Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Power BI)
• Experience working in or with the education sector (preferred)
