Bare Developer

Job Summary

To support the development of a global financial revolution, the 100% remote Bare Developer will design, implement, and maintain native modules while debugging across multiple operating systems and ensuring the Bare runtime remains efficient and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship native modules, including writing C native addons that bridge platform APIs into JavaScript
• Set up and maintain cross-platform builds and CI pipelines for macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS
• Contribute to the Bare runtime core and debug native addon issues across various OS and device targets

Required qualifications

• Strong C programming skills with experience in writing and debugging native code across platforms
• Advanced JavaScript skills and a solid understanding of Node.js internals and the module ecosystem
• Experience building native addons for Node.js or similar runtimes
• Familiarity with asynchronous I/O frameworks and platform-specific system APIs
• Ability to navigate large C and C++ codebases and work independently with strong written communication skills
