Job Summary

Smarter with Achieve, a credit-by-exam guidance company, help working students pass exams for college credits. Our prep courses, accessible online day & night, increase students' likelihood of earning college credits via credit by exam.

We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to guide B2B revenue attainment across multiple lines of business. You will be responsible for defining how we attract and close new business. You will assume the lead role with SQL's in the sales funnel. You will lead a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) and grow a healthy pipeline of prospects. Once we establish consistency across key performance indicators, you will determine the rate at which each line of business can scale.

Ideally, you love selling trial agreements and thrive in challenging environments. You have a proven track record executing the land and expand selling model. You're comfortable and knowledgeable of the SaaS industry, as well as tech-enabled consumer and B2B applications. As such, you have a lot of situational examples where you've led a team in the build-out of business line sales.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Closing multi-year sales agreements

- Define partnerships strategies and execute on go-to-market plans

- Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and close key deals

- Be agile and execute across a diverse range of products from B2B to B2C

- Understand and communicate market opportunities, trends, needs and partner feedback to cross-functional teams

- Develop mutually-beneficial and trusting relationships with partners

- Make each line of business a favored company offering with which to partner

- Drive adoption and thought leadership

- Grow, train, and manage SDR's

Requirements

Desired Skills & Experience

- Available to work 40+ hour per week

- Location: Homebased USA

- 8+ years overall work experience

- 4+ years of relevant business development experience; background in software development partnerships is a plus

- At least 3 years of sales experience

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help define go-to-market strategy and drive sign-off from internal leadership

- Positive attitude and highly motivated to reach/exceed quota

- Passion about products, solutions and the problem we are solving

- A thought leader who drives the business forward and keeps our team ahead of trends

- Great track record of sourcing, developing and maintaining partner relationships

- Experience developing first-of-kind, strategic deals which are creative and align with our growth strategy

- Experience successfully navigating a fast-paced, highly ambiguous start-up environment

- Entrepreneurial, persistent, and resourceful, with the experience learning quickly about new technologies
