Job Summary
Providing expert legal counsel on transactional real estate matters, the full-time California Licensed Real Estate Counsel will manage leasing, land use, and construction issues while working remotely and collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess legal risks and propose solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Conducts legal research and analysis, interpreting laws and regulations to provide actionable legal advice
- Prepares, drafts, and negotiates complex legal documents and agreements related to real estate transactions
- Partners with internal and external stakeholders to develop legal strategies and mitigate risks impacting business operations
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent legal degree
- Minimum five (5) years of experience as a practicing lawyer
- State Bar License from any state where the organization operates
- Experience in real estate law, particularly in leasing and land use
- Ability to manage complex legal projects and collaborate with diverse teams
