California Licensed Underwriting Assistant
Job Summary
A company is looking for an Underwriting Assistant to support the underwriter in analyzing underwriting applications and assessing risk factors.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze complex risks and prepare reports for management
- Coordinate the quoting, binding, and issuance process while maintaining accurate documentation
- Develop and maintain relationships with underwriters, producers, and brokers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business Administration or Risk Management
- 1+ year of related experience or similar role
- Advanced technical expertise in underwriting and insurance principles
- Minimum requirements for state P&C and/or surplus line licenses
- Preferred: Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) certification
