Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign accurate ICD-10, CPT-4, and E&M codes to patient medical records
• Support ongoing performance improvement initiatives through audits and quality control reviews
• Identify coding trends or issues and escalate them to management in a timely manner

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in E&M coding using ICD-10 and CPT-4
• Experience with ED (Emergency Department) coding and ProFee coding required
• Must have and maintain a professional coding certification (CPC, CCA, CCS, or CCS-P)
• Completion of coursework in Medical Terminology, Medical Billing or Coding, or Anatomy preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
