CFTC Licensed Clearing Operations Manager

Job Summary

Owning the end-to-end post-trade clearing function for Coinbase Derivatives Exchange, the full-time Senior Manager, Clearing Operations will manage daily clearing, settlement, and reconciliation processes while leading relationships with external clearinghouses and regulators in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day clearing, settlement, margining, and position reconciliation, including incident management and escalation
• Develop and improve clearing procedures, controls, and risk frameworks to comply with CFTC regulatory standards
• Build and lead a high-performing clearing operations team, establishing KPIs, SLAs, and workflows

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in clearing operations at a CFTC-regulated exchange, clearinghouse, or FCM
• Deep expertise in the full trade lifecycle for CFTC-regulated derivatives, including clearing and settlement
• Proven experience managing relationships with industry clearinghouses and overseeing counterparty obligations
• Track record of building and leading operational teams with scalable processes and controls
• Strong knowledge of CFTC regulations and experience with regulatory filings and audit responses
