Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist who will enhance the accuracy of physician documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily concurrent documentation reviews to ensure accuracy and alignment with clinical guidelines
• Provide education and feedback to healthcare providers regarding documentation improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement best practices and compliance with clinical documentation standards

Required Qualifications

• Current RN License or Medical School Graduate
• For RN: 3+ years of CDI experience; for Medical School Graduates: 2+ years of CDI experience
• Experience working closely with physicians
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Electronic Medical Records
• Preferred: BSN degree and current certification as a CCDS, CDIP, or CCS
