Job Summary
A company is looking for a Clinical Genomic Scientist II - Exome Analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret clinical diagnostic testing results and classify variants
- Draft clear and accurate clinical testing reports
- Provide input on training and reporting protocols, and assist in technical troubleshooting
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education:
- Ph.D. in molecular biology, genetics, or related field, or MS in Genetic Counseling or similar field
- At least 2 years of experience in genetics literature review, variant classification, or clinical report drafting
- Strong knowledge of human genetics and diagnostic genetic testing concepts
- Familiarity with diagnostic testing methodologies, including next-generation sequencing and Sanger sequencing
- Ongoing knowledge of current theories and principles of human genetics
