Commercial Lines Underwriting Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director, Middle Market Underwriting - Commercial Lines (Model Office Leader).

Key Responsibilities:

• Define objectives and goals for the model office, including testing new processes and training staff
• Assemble and lead a cross-functional team to design and implement the model office environment
• Continuously monitor performance, conduct iterative testing, and maintain documentation and reporting

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; MBA preferred
• Completion of INS and/or AU designations; CIC or CPCU preferred
• Typically ten years of commercial lines underwriting experience, with middle market experience preferred
• Significant business management and people leadership experience
• Project management experience and prior collaboration with IT preferred
