Job Summary
A company is looking for a Corporate Counsel - Commercial to focus on commercial contracting supporting sales and go-to-market teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle general contract inquiries and assist sales teams with contract language and revisions
- Structure, draft, and negotiate a variety of customer-facing agreements while ensuring compliance with legal requirements
- Advise internal clients on legal issues and manage risks in commercial transactions
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to a state bar (CA/NY preferred)
- At least 5-8 years of experience negotiating complex software or SaaS contracts
- Strong understanding of standard contract language applicable to SaaS transactions
- Experience in-house within a company with a quarterly sales cycle preferred
- Experience with financial services or private market transactions is a plus
