Corporate Legal Executive

Job Summary

To support a growing Corporate Legal department, the full-time remote SVP of Corporate Legal will manage legal operations, compliance oversight, and vendor relationships while building systems and workflows to enhance departmental efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee corporate legal billing, manage outside counsel spend, and implement systems for optimizing legal expenses
• Support compliance frameworks and monitor adherence to federal and state regulations across lending and corporate operations
• Manage relationships with outside counsel and legal vendors, ensuring effective performance and engagement processes

Required Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with active bar membership preferred
• Direct experience in a Non-QM mortgage company or related mortgage lending environment
• 8-15+ years of legal experience focused on legal operations and corporate legal management
• Proven ability to manage outside counsel and control legal spend effectively
• Strong project management skills with a background in compliance and corporate law
