Creative Director, Motion Design

Job Summary

To establish a cohesive motion design language, the full-time salaried Creative Director, Motion Design will develop motion principles, drive product and brand cohesion, and lead high-craft execution while collaborating across Microsoft.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evolve MAI's motion design language and establish reusable motion primitives
• Lead motion direction to translate product capabilities into expressive interactions and reinforce narrative coherence
• Direct the creation of high-fidelity motion across various systems and oversee the development of motion prototypes

Required qualifications

• Master's Degree in a relevant field and 7+ years of experience in product or service design, or Bachelor's Degree with 9+ years of experience
• 5+ years of people management experience
• Proven experience in building motion systems at scale
• A portfolio showcasing product motion, identity systems, and storytelling
• Experience with AI-driven or agent-based experiences is preferred
