Credentialing Specialist

Job Summary

Providing entry-level support for credentialing activities, the full-time Associate Specialist, National Credentialing will evaluate applications, communicate with healthcare providers, and maintain credentialing software systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate credentialing applications for accuracy and completeness, obtaining necessary verifications
• Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify questions and request missing information
• Review and process daily alerts for sanctions and exclusions, ensuring timely updates to provider status

Required qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a data processing, production, and/or administrative role, preferably in healthcare
• Proficiency in data entry and Microsoft Office suite
• Self-direction and logical thinking abilities
• Experience with internet research
• Able to work collaboratively in a matrixed organization with internal and external stakeholders
