Job Summary
A company is looking for a Specialty Testing Customer Service Support Representative to work from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle approximately 75 calls per day from patients, doctor's offices, and insurance carriers
- Assist clients and patients with inquiries related to insurance coverage, billing, and payment options
- Document conversations and maintain accurate records in the billing system while adhering to HIPAA guidelines
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High school diploma required; associate degree or higher is preferred
- 1-3 years of applicable experience in healthcare or customer service
- Knowledge of medical billing practices and insurance explanations preferred
- Experience with Laboratory Billing and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) is desirable
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable
