Data Advocate Engineer

Job Summary

Bridging the gap between cutting-edge data infrastructure and the global community, the full-time remote Data Advocate Engineer will champion efficient data storage and collaboration on the Hugging Face Hub, while engaging with the open-source community and promoting best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and nurture the open-source data/infra community through initiatives, collaborations, and events
• Promote the Hugging Face Hub for data storage and versioning, showcasing datasets and tools
• Create tutorials, demos, and benchmarks to illustrate best practices for data workflows

Required qualifications

• 3+ years in developer relations or advocacy for data engineering, infrastructure, or ML tools
• Established public presence as a technical voice with a track record of publishing data-related content
• Hands-on experience with data libraries such as pandas and pyarrow
• Strong Python skills and practical experience with storage systems like Parquet and S3
• Ability to clearly explain complex technical topics through writing and presentations
