Job Summary
A company is looking for a Data Engineer to manage databases and support software development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain SQL Server databases while ensuring data integrity and performance
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to develop data-driven applications and optimize data retrieval
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve database issues and provide mentorship to junior staff
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Extensive experience with SQL Server and strong proficiency in SQL
- Strong background in software development with expertise in at least one programming language (C#, Python, Java, etc.)
- Solid understanding of data modeling, database design, and normalization
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and deploying databases in the cloud is a plus
