Job Summary
A company is looking for a Data Scientist, Computational Genomics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement machine learning algorithms for large-scale genomic datasets
- Collaborate with geneticists and engineers to address complex computational biology problems
- Analyze and interpret biological data, focusing on DNA sequence data to uncover insights
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genetics, or related field
- Extensive experience with machine learning techniques in a biological context
- Advanced programming skills in Python and proficiency with Linux Bash
- Strong foundations in AWS services including SageMaker, Glue, and Athena
- Deep understanding of genetics, genomics, and DNA sequence analysis
