Design Engineering Program Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Design Engineering Program Manager for a remote contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with customer engineers to agree on technical solutions and propose alternative benchmarks when necessary
• Create and maintain concept level bill of materials, demonstrate progress against deliverables, and manage costs for customer product estimating
• Develop robust design solutions in 3D CAD, create CAD models according to customer guidelines, and manage mass and center of gravity of components

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in feasibility study and product development in side doors
• Specific knowledge in general vehicle layout and deep understanding of law requirements and door performances
• Knowledge in design of components in steel, aluminum, and plastics, with proficiency in CATIA 3DX system
• Autonomy in product development and ability to prepare presentations with Microsoft Power Point
