Director of Carrier Operations

Job Summary

Owning Whatnot's global carrier function, the full-time remote Senior Manager / Director of Carrier Operations will manage carrier performance, pricing, and relationships while leading a team to ensure efficient shipping operations across domestic and international carriers.

Key responsibilities

• Build and run daily/weekly monitoring of carrier performance metrics and drive issue resolution
• Manage carrier pricing changes, coordinating communications and ensuring accountability for rate adjustments
• Oversee high-value stuck-shipment resolutions and lead the onboarding of new carriers and service levels

Required qualifications

• 8-12+ years of experience in parcel/carrier operations, logistics, or marketplace operations
• Proven experience in managing carrier relationships and negotiations across multiple carriers
• Deep understanding of parcel economics and cost integrity, including invoice reconciliation
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools
• Experience in managing and developing teams, with a focus on operational efficiency
