Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a fully-distributed team of 6-8 engineers, the full-time remote Engineering Manager will oversee the delivery of high-quality software for the blood collection industry, ensuring effective collaboration with product managers and aligning team efforts with broader company goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end software delivery process, from requirements gathering to production performance
• Oversee production incidents, driving resolution and ensuring clear communication with stakeholders
• Lead and mentor a distributed team of engineers, providing feedback, setting goals, and fostering team engagement

Required qualifications

• 4+ years in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentoring role
• Proven experience managing engineering teams and delivering impactful software products
• Strong understanding of web application development, with experience in Ruby on Rails and AWS preferred
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools
• Hands-on experience with AI development tools and a solid understanding of their application in software development
