Job Summary
Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the strategy and execution of Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, ensuring a seamless user experience across web and mobile platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
- Own the roadmap for the design system and ensure its adoption across all product teams
- Drive accessibility initiatives and establish processes for consistent, measurable standards in product development
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
- 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
- Proven experience in building or significantly contributing to a design system or shared component library
- History of developing polished, well-tested, accessible consumer products on web and mobile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
