Job Summary
A company is looking for an Environmental Compliance Specialist to join their Environmental Compliance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the review and drafting of environmental documentation, including Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) and Environmental Mitigation and Monitoring Plans (EMMP)
- Identify environmental impacts and climate risks, developing appropriate mitigation and monitoring measures
- Conduct internal audits of project compliance with environmental impact and climate risk management requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience, including at least one year in environmental compliance analysis and report writing
- Knowledge of environmental impact assessment and climate risk management concepts applicable to USAID's procedures
- Experience with USAID Initial Environmental Examinations (IEEs) and Environmental Mitigation and Monitoring Plans (EMMPs)
- Familiarity with USAID's climate risk management principles
