Job Summary

A company is looking for an Experienced Emergency Room Coder.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review documentation to code diagnoses and surgical CPT procedures for hospital-based claims and data needs
• Review documentation to code diagnoses, EM level, and surgical CPT procedures for physician-based claims and data needs
• Validate APC calculations, abstract clinical data, and interact with client staff and providers

Required Qualifications:

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential
• Two years of relevant coding experience within the last six months
• Passing score of 80% on specific pre-employment tests assigned
