To support a leading global automotive company's North American R&D division, the part-time Export Attorney with Engineering Focus will ensure compliance with export regulations by collaborating with engineering teams and reviewing university research projects, working remotely for 10 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Review and classify technical statements of work to ensure compliance with export regulations
• Collaborate closely with engineering and research teams to address export compliance issues
• Evaluate university research projects for adherence to export regulations and classifications

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in export compliance, particularly within engineering or R&D environments
• Deep expertise in export classifications and regulations
• Ability to translate complex technical documents into accurate compliance classifications
• Strong attention to detail and responsiveness in a remote work setting
