FHA Claims Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Loss Mitigation FHA Claims Specialist to manage FHA home retention claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file HUD claims accurately and timely according to guidelines
• Perform loan level reconciliation for final claim proceeds and correct errors as needed
• Document all servicing actions and maintain the HUD audit file

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience; some college preferred
• One to two years of mortgage servicing default experience preferred
• Previous FHA claims experience preferred
• Understanding of the loss mitigation and claims process
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork
