Forward Deployed Engineer
Job Summary
Embedding directly with Coinbase's FP&A and Treasury organization, the full-time Forward Deployed Engineer will deliver AI-native automation across high-volume financial workflows, identifying automation opportunities and prototyping scalable solutions in a remote-first environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop workflow expertise with FP&A and Treasury stakeholders to identify high-impact automation opportunities
- Prototype and deploy production-grade AI agents that comply with SOX requirements
- Own the Finance automation roadmap, translating financial workflows into engineering requirements
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience with a focus on shipping production systems
- Proven experience deploying LLM-based applications to production with human-in-the-loop design
- Ability to collaborate with non-technical experts and translate complex workflows into engineering requirements
- Experience in multi-agent orchestration and designing collaborative AI systems
- Comfort in consultative roles, promoting existing tools and solutions in cross-functional environments
