Job Summary
Supporting the reliability and scalability of database infrastructure, the full-time Database Reliability Engineer will enhance automation and optimize performance across various database platforms in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Drive database reliability by managing high availability, replication, and connection management across multiple database technologies
- Develop automation tools and workflows using Kubernetes, Go, or Python to streamline database provisioning and operations
- Collaborate with application engineering teams to implement safe database practices and optimize performance and resource efficiency
Required qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in Database Reliability Engineering or a related infrastructure engineering role with a strong database focus
- Operational experience with major relational databases, preferably Aurora MySQL, and familiarity with technologies like PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Experience building stateful workloads on Kubernetes and using tools such as Terraform and ArgoCD
- Hands-on software development experience in Go or Python for automation and platform tooling
- Practical experience using AI tools to enhance engineering workflows and validate outputs
