Health Tech Attorney
Job Summary
To support a growing health tech practice, the full-time or part-time Health Tech Attorney will serve as a primary advisor for clients on HIPAA compliance, FDA regulations, and healthcare contracts, while also developing institutional knowledge and training materials for internal attorneys in a remote-first environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance to health tech clients on HIPAA, compliance, and healthcare regulatory matters
- Review and negotiate BAAs and healthcare-specific contracts, ensuring alignment with current laws and best practices
- Develop and improve healthcare contract templates and lead training sessions for attorneys on healthcare-related issues
Required qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar membership in good standing
- 8+ years of focused experience in healthcare regulatory and health tech transactional work
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating BAAs and healthcare contracts
- Extensive knowledge of HIPAA, FDA, and digital health regulatory frameworks
- Strong enthusiasm for teaching and sharing knowledge with colleagues
