Job Summary
A company is looking for a Hospital Coding Quality Specialist - Inpatient.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct hospital coding accuracy reviews and validate coding compliance
- Identify coder education opportunities and trends for second level account review
- Participate in coding denial and appeal processes, ensuring timely responses to claims
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- CCS, RHIA, or RHIT certification from AHIMA
- Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or related field
- Five years of experience in hospital coding within a large healthcare system
- Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT coding systems, and MS-DRGs
- Experience with remote workforce operations
