Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Medical Coder - Hospital Inpatient.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply appropriate ICD-10 and PCS procedure codes for inpatient records
• Review clinical documentation to extract data and ensure accurate coding
• Adhere to official coding guidelines for compliance in billing and reporting

Required Qualifications and Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years of coding experience in hospital acute care inpatient records
• CCS, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA Certification
• Must be a US Citizen and willing to undergo a federal background check
• Experience with electronic health record systems such as EPIC, Cerner, or Next Gen
• Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Terminology
