Job Summary
A company is looking for a Bedded Insurance Authorization Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform initial and concurrent insurance authorization securement for patients admitted to the hospital
- Confirm patient insurance coverage details and benefits
- Ensure timely acquisition of insurance authorizations and prevent denial
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of relevant experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred 2-year/Associates Degree in Medical Assisting or Practical Nursing
- Comprehensive understanding of insurance authorization requirements, contract benefits, CPT codes, and medical terminology
- Experience working with insurance companies and/or medical authorizations
