Job Summary

To ensure accurate patient coverage, the full-time remote Insurance Verification Coordinator will verify insurance benefits, obtain pre-certification approvals, and coordinate with internal departments to resolve payment issues while providing exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities
  • Audit schedules to verify patient insurance and document any coverage restrictions to prevent payment problems
  • Obtain referrals or authorizations from primary care offices or insurance companies
  • Assist team members and internal teams in resolving insurance-related issues
Required qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Certificate from College or Technical School preferred
  • 2 - 3 years' experience in the medical or related field required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Familiarity with health insurance industry practices and/or medical billing procedures
  • Computer literacy required, with experience in medical scheduling/billing systems preferred
