Lead Engineer for Common Voice
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Lead Engineer for the Common Voice project.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Product Director to shape the product roadmap and translate strategic requirements into engineering tasks
- Line-manage and mentor two software engineers while actively contributing to the codebase
- Ensure platform security, performance, and accessibility, and lead technical discovery processes
Required Qualifications
- At least 7+ years of experience in full stack web development
- Experience in leading technical decision-making processes and mentoring others
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Node.js, React, Python, MySQL, and TypeScript
- Experience with scalable distributed systems and cloud infrastructure
- A user-centered approach with a strong interest in community participation technologies
