Job Summary
Leading the design and development of modeling techniques for HVDC systems, the full-time Lead Control and Protection Application Software Engineer will mentor engineers, contribute to industry standards, and oversee the development and maintenance of control and protection system application software in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of modeling and control techniques for HVDC systems
- Develop requirement, design, and test specifications for Control & Protection Application
- Oversee validation efforts using Model-in-the-Loop (MIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) methodologies
Required Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in Controls Engineering or equivalent with experience in HVDC
- Proven knowledge in power system modeling and control principles for VSC and LCC HVDC technologies
- Familiarity with MATLAB / Simulink for control development
- Understanding of HVDC system design, control, and protection
- Experience with Agile software development practices and Git for version control
