Lead Solutions Design Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting the growth of Supply Chain Solutions, the full-time Lead Solutions Design Engineer will design and develop solutions that deliver financial value to customers, manage a small team, and ensure successful transitions during the startup process, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Support the bid submission process by developing initial hypotheses and clarifying objectives based on RFP documents
- Execute design processes to create or optimize logistics networks, including data validation and scenario modeling
- Lead consulting projects to understand customer pain points and present tailored solutions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering
- Six or more years of experience in the Transportation and Warehousing or Manufacturing industries
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Extensive knowledge of Dedicated Services, Managed Transportation Networks, and Warehouse Management operations
- Proficiency in simulation tools, including Simio, and design applications for logistics networks
