Job Summary
A company is looking for a Behavioral Health Care Manager II.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage psychiatric and substance abuse treatment health benefits through telephonic or written review
- Assess member needs using clinical judgment to ensure access to necessary behavioral healthcare
- Coordinate case planning and evaluation to promote quality member outcomes and effective use of health benefits
Qualifications & Requirements
- MA/MS in social work, counseling, or a related field, or a nursing degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Current active unrestricted license (e.g., RN, LCSW, LMHC) to practice as a health professional
- Experience in case management/utilization management with complex psychiatric/substance abuse cases
- Prior managed care experience is required
