Loss Mitigation Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Loss Mitigation Underwriter (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews loss mitigation package documentation to determine homeowner eligibility and reports findings
• Calculates borrower income and expenses, and manages a caseload from application to modification
• Communicates with homeowners and stakeholders regarding the status of loss mitigation files and documentation

Required Qualifications and Education

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in Collections, Loss Mitigation, or related mortgage banking fields
• 1-3 years of Loss Mitigation Underwriting experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of Black Knight MSP system and CFPB guidelines preferred
• Ability to learn and adhere to regulations and guidelines relevant to the position
