Job Summary

To support a critical hotline service, the part-time Massachusetts Licensed Hotline Operator will manage incoming calls using a harm reduction framework, engaging with callers from diverse backgrounds and experiences to provide compassionate assistance and resources.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and respond to incoming hotline calls, providing support and information to individuals at risk of overdose
• Engage callers in meaningful conversations while employing a harm reduction approach
• Maintain monthly call requirements to remain active on the hotline team

Required qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Licensed Hotline Operator certification
• Experience in crisis intervention or working with individuals facing substance use challenges
• Strong communication skills and a calm demeanor in challenging situations
• Dedication to saving lives and providing compassionate support
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
