Minnesota Licensed Assistant Controller

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assistant Controller to oversee the accounting team and ensure accurate financial reporting in the Property and Casualty Insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes for accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and review US-GAAP financial statements ensuring regulatory compliance
• Lead and mentor the accounting team while driving process improvements

Qualifications:

• 8-10 years of accounting experience, with 3-5 years in a leadership role in insurance or financial services
• Strong understanding of US-GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
• CPA preferred; additional certifications are a plus
• Experience with public accounting and audits is highly preferred
