Job Summary
A non-profit education management company is filling a position for a Online Grades 9 Through 12th Math Teacher.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Collaboratively planning units and projects using a backwards design approach
- Ensuring students achieve key learning outcomes and target instruction to address individual student needs
- Co-constructing with students a classroom environment that establishes high standards
Position Requirements Include:
- Possess strong content knowledge, with at least a bachelor's or equivalent study in mathematics
- Have several years of math teaching experience and a track record of student learning
- Are familiar with authentic assessment practices in problem- or project- based learning
- Have experience with problem-based pedagogy and curriculum or a strong background of learning and deep belief in PBL
- Have experience using technology as a tool to communicate and collaborate with colleagues and enhance instruction
