Job Summary
A company is looking for a PB Advanced HIM Coding Specialist 2.
Key Responsibilities
- Code and charge SCMG Clinical Services, resolving billing edits and denials
- Abstract medical record information in compliance with CMS requirements
- Collaborate with Patient Financial Services on medical necessity issues and claim denials
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High School diploma or GED; graduate of an AHIMA Accredited Health Information Technology program or certification from AHIMA or AAPC
- Valid Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of hospital or professional coding experience
- Knowledge of ICD-10 CM and CPT-4 code assignment
- Ability to maintain required educational credits through AHIMA or AAPC
