Oregon Referral Coordinator

Job Summary

To support timely patient access, the temporary Oregon Referral Coordinator will manage the intake, triage, and processing of patient care requests from external providers, working full-time in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process incoming referrals and related documentation using Epic
• Communicate with referring providers and clinic staff to obtain necessary clinical information for referral completion
• Identify trends and quality concerns impacting referral accuracy and report issues to leadership for operational improvement

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years' experience in an ambulatory clinic, OR Associate's degree plus 4 years' experience, OR High School diploma plus 6 years' experience
• Knowledge of multiple ambulatory workflows
• Experience interpreting medical terminology and ICD10 diagnosis codes
• Proficiency in Epic electronic medical record workflows
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy
