Outpatient Audit Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Audit Specialist to support coding quality and compliance assessments in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient facility encounter reviews and coding assignments using relevant coding references
• Provide education and training to coding staff and clinical personnel to enhance documentation and coding procedures
• Prepare and present audit findings, final reports, and participate in discussions with client facility representatives

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of outpatient facility coding and/or auditing experience
• RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS credentials are required
• Preferred experience in recent academic medical center or level I trauma center auditing
