Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Access Specialist responsible for delivering a high-quality patient experience through call resolution and patient access functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient access functions including scheduling, pre-registration, and registration
  • Provide excellent customer service and answer patient questions while routing calls appropriately
  • Maintain efficient operational workflow for all patients seeking services

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; prefer an associate's degree in a related field
  • 1-2 years of general clerical, customer service, or medical experience, preferably in healthcare
  • Prior experience in a call center or with high-volume patient contact by phone is preferred
  • Epic certification and HFMA certification are preferred
  • Knowledge of Arizona Medicaid programs, Medicare, and other government programs is required
