Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Access Specialist responsible for delivering a high-quality patient experience through call resolution and patient access functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient access functions including scheduling, pre-registration, and registration
- Provide excellent customer service and answer patient questions while routing calls appropriately
- Maintain efficient operational workflow for all patients seeking services
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; prefer an associate's degree in a related field
- 1-2 years of general clerical, customer service, or medical experience, preferably in healthcare
- Prior experience in a call center or with high-volume patient contact by phone is preferred
- Epic certification and HFMA certification are preferred
- Knowledge of Arizona Medicaid programs, Medicare, and other government programs is required
